Smoke’s Helpline provides online information with motivation and support tools including the First Week Challenge that encourages you to make a plan to quit for at least the first week of the month for a chance to win cash. Registration is online here.
Telehealth Ontario
Telehealth Ontario 1-866-797-0000 provides information on proven supports to help you quit, available when you need it. When you call you can get one-on-one phone time with a Quit Coach to help you build a plan and stick to it. Services are available in French and English, and phone support is available in over 200 languages via translator services
Stop On The Road
STOP on the Road brings smoking cessation treatment directly to people in their own communities. Registered participants attend a one-time workshop and receive a group presentation and a cost-free 5-week kit of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to support their quit attempt. Check with your local health unit for local workshops in your area or visit the website linked above. Some health units may have additional NRT supplies available to support quitting.

LGBTQ2S+ youth quitting together – One Day Day 1
Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP+)
OHIP+ offers young adults aged 18-24 (who are not covered by a private drug plan), coverage of some prescribed nicotine replacement therapies and a year of pharmacist-assisted counselling.
Ontario Disability Supplement Program & Ontario Works
People over the age of 24 who are on Ontario Works or Ontario Disability Support Program are eligible for support similar to OHIP+ (above) for young adults.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Coverage for First Nation and Inuit People
NIHB clients can now receive 100% coverage for nicotine replacement therapies and other medications used to help quit smoking.
